•     2017 Keystone Degree Recipients

        On January 9, at the State FFA Midwinter Convention, held at the PA Farm Show in Harrisburg, Derry FFA had three of their finest receive their Keystone Degree.  The Degree is the highest in the state that an FFA member is able to receive.  In order to receive the Degree, a member must be a senior in high school; must keep state approved record books for their years as a member of the FFA to verify hours, dollars, and leadership activities covered in the Degree application; be a member for two years prior to the current year and must have at least two years of instruction in agricultural/horticultural education classes.  The member must also have received on the chapter level their Greenhand Degree and Chapter Degree.  Pictured below with Pedro Rivera, Secretary of Education, and Russell Redding, Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary, are Philip Winklosky, Emily McChesney, and Brandon Brezinski.
